As some of you may have noticed, I'm currently having some time away from the forum. So first and foremost - let this be a public apology if, by any chance, the news/fleet lists etc aren't kept up to date. I'll make sure everything is updated when I 'return', but I'm taking a backseat role on the forum for a while.
Back on-topic... Scott (tyresmoke) and I have been discussing the difficulties with quoting that some users have had since we updated to myBB 1.8, and I've been making attempts this evening to find a fix given that myBB have been useless when I've asked them for help.
The issue seems to boil down to the browser each user is using, so please see the section below which applies to you:
For Internet Explorer Users:
First click the 'Widget' in the top right hand corner of your Internet Explorer window, then click 'Compatibility View settings'.
Next, type in 'northeastbuses.co.uk' into the section which allows you to add text, then click 'Add'. After this, click 'Close'.
Parts of this website are not functional with the latest version of Internet Explorer, so the website will look slightly different and appear the way it would have done in the previous version of Internet Explorer. After doing this, quoting functionality should work with no issues.
For Google Chrome Users:
As long as you have the most recent version of this web browser installed, you should have no issues.
For Mozilla Firefox Users:
As long as you have the most recent version of this web browser installed, you should have no issues.
For Apple Safari Users:
As long as you have the most recent version of this web browser installed, you should have no issues. However, it has been reported that mobile users with Safari are encountering difficulties. I personally do not own any Apple products, but I am led to believe that you cannot change your default web browser on Apple devices. As such, I can only suggest downloading Tapatalk (but please note that there are issues with myBB/Tapatalk at present too - discussed in 'Problems & Suggestions' sub-forum).
I hope this helps, but please advise me below if this hasn't worked for you. I'll be online for the rest of the night, but probably gone for a few days again after tonight (though you can still reach me on dan@northeastbuses.co.uk).

Primarily affecting the x1, the road between Shiney Row and Herrington Burn is closed and has been for a while.
Local rumour states a suspect package. The sight of gas vans indicate otherwise.

ALL of the 13xx darts are awful. I've driven all of them at Darlington now (1306 yesterday being the latest) and they are an embarrassment in every single way. At the very least they all need new engines, but realistically they have just sent better for scrap. 1308 arrived in Darlington 20 mins late this afternoon and got taken out of service, it is by far the worst of the bunch.I can't stand them, I refuse to use service 8/8A because they are that bad, I wanted to go from Darlington Town Centre to Morrisons the other day and I didn't get on it and instead jumped on the Scarlet Band 16.
If you want to know how bad they are, I jumped on one on the 64 at the Arnison Centre the other week and the GNE 14 pulled in behind and it was a Vyking and I was thinking that I'd rather be on the Vyking!

For the past few days pictures and videos haven't been showing up and instead you just end up with a link in square brackets.
If anyone is having this problem go into the edit options then in the Thread View Options there is some tick boxes, tick: Display images in posts and Display images in posts and this should fix the problem.
Just thought I'd post this in case anyone was having this problem, as I had it for a few days until I just looked at my settings and noticed that them boxes were un ticked.

Hi there,
I was thinking just now, there are a lot of things in our community that we don't always think about....not so much personal issues, but just those little, almost insignificant things that you don't always think about.
Just to kick off a conversation, how does everyone say fleet numbers? I know some people, for example, would say 8243 as 'eight two four three', while I would say 'eighty two forty three'. This is purely from spending so much time talking to drivers, etc., and I've just picked it up like another language! I would feel kind of stupid if I pronounced a fleet number in the single digit format, how about others?
I just figured a thread like this would be useful to discuss how different people go about doing their hobby.
Marcus
